Men's Swimming Goes 1-1 at Centre Double Dual Meet

(DANVILLE, Ky.) – The Thomas More University men's swimming & diving team went 1-1 at the Centre College double dual meet today (Saturday, October 20, 2018) at Boles Natatorium in Danville, Kentucky.  The Saints defeated Bethel University 79-50, but fell 161-41 to Centre.

  • Justin Hailey took home first place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:52.87 and the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.45. 
  • Austin Smith finished second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.78 and third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.67.
  • Two Saints placed in the top-5 in the 100-yard butterfly, Luke Stuart placing second with a time of 57.17 and Aaron Atwood finished fourth with a final time of 1:04.11.
  • Stuart also finished third in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5.22.50 and Atwood also finished fifth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:17.65.
  • The Saints finished the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:48.49 coming in third place. 

  • The Saints return to the pool on November 3 when they travel to Wooster, Ohio to compete at the College of Wooster Quad Meet.
