Saints In Second Place After First Round at Georgetown Invitational

(GEORGETOWN, Ky.) – The Thomas More University men's golf team shot a 283 and is in second place after the first round of the Georgetown (Ky.) College Fall Invitational held today (Monday, September 30, 2019) at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Kentucky.

  • Senior Kyle Alexander (Taylorsville, Ky./Spencer County) leads the Saints as he is tied for first with a 68.
  • Sophomore Landon Finn (Florence, Ky./Boone County) is in sixth place with a 70.
  • Senior Jacob Zai (Cold Spring, Ky./Bishop Brossart) shot a 72 and is in seventh place.
  • First-year Jerod Baynum (California, Ky./Bishop Brossart) is tied for eighth with a 73.
  • Senior Zack Baynum (California, Ky./Campbell County) shot a 78 and is tied for 25th.

  • Thomas More had five golfers compete as individuals.
  • Sophomore Sebastian Sims (Maineville, Ohio/Little Miami) is tied for 20th with a 76.
  • First-year Ben Bryll (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas) shot a 78 and is tied for 25th.
  • Junior Robby Case IV (Crestview Hills, Ky./Covington Latin) is tied for 36th with an 80.
  • Sophomore Tyler Sansom (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) is tied for 45th with an 88.
  • Senior Blake Baioni (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) shot a 90 and is in 47th place.

  • Thomas More will close out the Georgetown Invitational tomorrow with a 9 a.m. shotgun start at Cherry Blossom Golf Course.
