Thomas More in Third Place at Bill Sergent Invitational

(PINEVILLE, Ky.) – The Thomas More University men's golf team shot a first round 301 today (Saturday, September 7, 2019) and is in third place at the Bill Sergent Invitational hosted by the University of the Cumberlands at the Wasioto Winds Golf Course in Pineville, Kentucky.

  • Senior Kyle Alexander (Taylorsville, Ky./Spencer County) led the Saints as he fired a 72 and is tied for fifth.
  • Sophomore Landon Finn (Florence, Ky./Boone County) is tied for eighth with a 75.
  • First-year Jerod Baynum (California, Ky./Bishop Brossart) is tied for 13th with a 76.
  • Senior Jacob Zai (Cold Spring, Ky./Bishop Brossart) carded a 78 and is tied for 18th.
  • Senior Zack Baynum (California, Ky./Campbell County) shot an 81 and is in 26th place.

  • Thomas More's "B" team shot a 326.
  • Sophomore Sebastian Sims (Maineville, Ohio/Little Miami) is tied for 13th with a 76.
  • Junior Robby Case IV (Crestview Hills, Ky./Covington Catholic) shot a 79 and is tied for 21st.
  • First-year Ben Bryll (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas) shot an 85 and is tied for 30th.
  • Sophomore Tyler Sansom (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) is in 33rd place with an 86.
  • Senior Blake Baioni (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) shot a 97 and is in 37th place.

  • The Saints will close out the Bill Sergent Invitational tomorrow with a 9 .m. shotgun start at Wasioto Winds Golf Course.
