Saints in Ninth Place at Schreiner Spring Shootout

(KERRVILLE, Texas) – The Thomas More University men's golf team shot a 312 today (Monday, March 11, 2019) and is in the ninth place after the first round first round of the Schreiner University Spring Shootout at the Club of Comanche Trace in Kerrville, Texas.

  • Junior Kyle Alexander (Taylorsville, Ky./Spencer County) led the Saints as he is tied for 20th with a 76.
  • Senior Matt Striegel (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) and first-year Landon Finn (Florence, Ky./Boone County) are tied for 28th with matching 78's.
  • Junior Zack Baynum (California, Ky./Campbell County) is tied for 45th with an 80.
  • Sophomore Nick Drake (Bowling Green, Ky./South Warren) is tied for 61sth with a 91.

  • Five Saints competed as individuals.
  • Junior Jacob Zai (Cold Spring, Ky./Bishop Brossart) is tied for 51st with an 81.
  • First-year Sebastian Sims (Maineville, Ohio/Little Miami) is tied for 54th with an 82.
  • Sophomore Robby Case IV (Crestview Hills, Ky./Covington Latin) shot a 91 and is tied for 61st.
  • First-year Tyler Sansom (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) is in 63rd place with a 96.
  • Junior Blake Baioni (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) is in 65th place with a 104.

  • The Saints will close out the Schreiner Spring Shootout tomorrow.
