Personal: Dylan Fleckenstein is the son of Aaron and Cassie Fleckenstein. He has one sibling, Addison. Fleckenstein earned four letters from Badin High School under Coach Jason Starks and Coach Aaron Fleckenstein. During his junior season, he was named Indoor MVP and for outdoor was Second Team All League in the 4x200, Second Team All-League in high jump, and Third Team All-League in the 4x400. In this senior season, he was named Third Team All-League in the 4x200, Third Team All-League in high jump, MVP, and Third Team All-League in long jump. Flenkenstein broke the school record in indoor for the high jump and the 4x200 relay in outdoor.
