Men's and Women's Bowling Teams Compete at Cincinnati Collegiate Classic

(CINCINNATI, Ohio) – The Thomas More University men's and women's bowling teams competed in the MSC Cincinnati Collegiate Classic on Saturday and Sunday (January 26-27, 2019) at Western Bowl in Cincinnati, Ohio.

  • The women's team finished 12th with a team total of 7,728.
  • The men's team placed 17th with a team regulation score of 8,411.
  • The men's JV team finished 11th in the JV division with a score of 7,495.

  • First-year Alicia Halstead (Delaware, Ohio/Rutherford B. Hayes) led the women's team with a 189 average.
  • First-year Torie Piskur (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion) bowled a 173 average.
  • Junior Erica Travis (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) tallied a 171 average.
  • Senior Katie Laine (Delhi, Ohio/Oak Hills) had a 168 average.

  • Junior Austin Crone (Florence, Ky./Simon Kenton) had a 200 average to lead the varsity team.
  • First-year Nathan McGeorge (Milford, Ohio/Milford) bowled a 195 average.
  • Junior Jake Farley (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands) had a 195 average.
  • First-year Max Hennessey (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) recorded a 187 average.
  • Sophomore Michael Binkowski (Grand Haven, Mich./St. Henry) led the JV team with a 180 average.
  • First-year Ryan Meyer (Dayton, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) bowled a 174 average.

  • The Saints return to action on next Saturday (February 2) when they compete in the Norse Classic at Super Bowl in Erlanger, Kentucky.
