(SIOUX FALLS, S.D.) – Thomas More University senior guards Damion King (Winchester, Ky./George Rogers Clark) and Ryne Callahan (Morehead, Ky./Rowan County) were both recognized by the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) with postseason honors today, Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019.
King was named the ACAA Player of the Year and to First Team All-Conference. He ended the season playing and starting in all 25 game, recording 383 total points. He led the team averaging 15.3 points per game and 4.2 assists per game. King finished his career at sixth all-time scorer in the program, with 1.465 career points. King also sits in third all-time with 141 3-point field goals made in his career. King was named ACAA Player of the Week in early November.
Callahan was named to Second Team All-Conference. He led the team with a .462 3-point field-goal percentage. Callahan currently sits at the top of both 3-point field goals attempted and made, with 640 attempted and 276 made in his career, and finished his career at 14th All-Time scorer with 1,191 career points. He reached his career 1,000th point in the 81-76 loss to Chicago earlier this season and finshed the season averaging 13.6 points per game and shooting .462 from beyond the arc. Callahan was named ACAA Player of the Week in early December.
The Saints' season was cut short when they dropped the ACAA Conference Semi-Final game to Alfred State on Feb. 23.
