(BETHANY, W.Va.) - Senior center Colt Stafford (Groveport, Ohio/Bishop Hartley) recorded a double-double, but it wasn't enough as the Thomas More College men's basketball team fell, 89-74, to Bethany College today (Saturday, December 10, 2011) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game at Hummel Field House in Bethany, West Virginia.

With the loss, the Saints fall to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the PAC.  With the win, the Bison improve to 8-0 overall and 3-0 in the PAC.

Thomas More opened the second half on a 17-8 run to cut the lead to 55-48 when sophomore point guard D'Carlo Hayes (Louisville, Ky./Male) made one-of-two free-throws with 13:17 to play in the game.  Bethany answered with a 12-4 run to extend the lead to 67-52 with 8:34 to play in the game when Reece Mabery made a jumper.  The Saints answered with a 6-2 run capped by a lay-up by junior small forward Ethan King (Maysville, Ky./Mason County) to cut the lead to 69-58 with 7:26 to play in game.  That would be as close as the Saints would come as Bethany closed out the game on a 30-16 run for the 89-74 victory.
