Men's Tennis Defeats Chowan in Hilton Head

(HILTON HEAD, SC)-Thomas More University's men's tennis team defeated Chowan on Monday (March 9), 4-3. The Saints overall record improves to 5-3.

• Senior Raphael Delente (Chapet, France/Notre Dame Les Oiseaux) and junior Magnus Hauska (Taufkirchen, Germany/Gymnasium Oberhaching) won 6-1 over Tadeo Missan and Marcel Ungerboeck.
• Sophomore Reggie Bechtel (Flatwoods, KY Paul G. Blazer) and sophomore Bernat Coll Ballester (Barcelona, Spain/Escola Lleó XIII) defeated Kachuck and David De Simon Lorenzo.
• Senior Samuel Mimbrero Lendinez (Madird Gaspar Sanz) and first year Jaume Boucher fell to Thales Eduardo Andrade Sette and Tadeo Sanchez.

• Raphael Delente won 6-3 and 6-2 over Marcel Ungerboeck.
• Magnus Hauska fell to Thales Eduardo Andrade Sette to 6-1 and 6-1.
• Sophomore Tammo Kreiser (Darmstadt, Germany/Justus Liebig Schule) was defeated by David De Simon Lorenzo 6-1 and 6-3.
• Jaume Boucher came up short to Tadeo Missan 6-2 and 6-3.
• Bernat Coll Ballester won 6-2 and 6-2 to Terumasa Inque 6-2 and 6-2.
• Sophomore Jacob Eddingfield (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) defeated Tadeo Sanchez 3-6, 6-4, and 1-0.

The Saints return on Tuesday (Match 10) against Rhodes College beginning at 10:00 am ET in Hilton Head, SC.
