Men's Tennis Splits with Ohio Wesleyan and Rhodes College in Hilton Head

(HILTON HEAD, SC)-Thomas More University's men's tennis team split with Ohio Wesleyan (5-2) and Rhodes College (3-4) on Wednesday (March 11). The Saints overall record is 6-4.


Thomas More Won 5-2 over Ohio Wesleyan 

• Sophomore Reggie Bechtel (Flatwoods, KY Paul G. Blazer) and sophomore Bernat Coll Ballester (Barcelona, Spain/Escola Lleó XIII) won 6-3 over Kobe Francis and Yu en Tsai.
• Senior Samuel Mimbrero Lendinez (Madird Gaspar Sanz) and sophomore Camille Le Guellec (Treillieres, France/Cofab Ifom) defeated Marcus Bode and Rainer Holl 7-6.
• Junior Dason Herrington (Cynthiana, Ky./Harrison County) and senior Caleb Pritchett (Haslet, Texas/V.R. Eaton) won 6-2 over Jared Crawford and Zachary Heister.

Thomas More fell 4-3 to Rhodes College

• Senior Raphael Delente (Chapet, France/Notre Dame Les Oiseaux) and junior Magnus Hauska (Taufkirchen, Germany/Gymnasium Oberhaching) defeated Oliver Bonovich and Christian Mainella 7-6.
• Reggie Betchel and Bernat Coll Ballester beat Owen Fellerath adn Topher Thornberry 6-4.
• Samuel Mimbrero Lendinez and first year Jaume Boucher won 6-4 over Owen Fellrath and Topher Thornerry.

Match one

• Samuel Mimbrero Lendinez fell to Yu En Tsai 2-6 and 4-6.
• Jaume Boucher won 6-1 and 6-0.
• Sophomore Jacob Eddingfield won 6-2 and 6-2 over Marcus Bode.
• Reggie Betchel defeated Kobe Francis 6-7, 7-5, and 1-0.
• Sophomore Clayton Arnett (Loveland, Ohio/Moeller) was defeate 6-7 and 2-6 to Zachary Heister.
• Sophomore Steven Chen (Cincinnati, Ohio/Badin) won 6-1 and 6-1 over Jared Crawford.

Match two

• Raphael Delente fell to Oliver Bonovich 3-6 and 2-6.
• Magnus Hauska came up short to Christian Mainella 7-6, 1-6, and 0-1.
• Tammo Krieser fell to Paul Fridman 1-6 and 1-4.
• Bernat Coll Ballester won 6-4 and 6-3 to Owen Fellrath.
• Jaume Boucher defeated Nicholas Giatras 6-3 and 6-3.
• Jacob Eddingifeld came up short to Conner Lloyd 6-7 and 4-6.

The Saints return Saturday (March 21) at Walsh beginning at 2:00 pm ET.
