(Crestview Hills, KY) - Thomas More University is proud to announce the appointment of
Shawn Barone as the new Head Men's Tennis Coach. Barone returns to this role after previously leading the men's tennis program from 2018 to 2022, and will now oversee both the men's and women's teams.
Since 2018, Barone has served as the Head Coach of the women's tennis team, where he continues to build a competitive and unified program. With this new appointment, Barone will lead both programs as they continue to grow in strength and character on and off the court.
"I am extremely excited to return as head tennis coach for both the men's and women's tennis teams," said Barone. "I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to work with the men to compete and grow as people on and off the court."
Joining Barone on the sidelines will be Jeff Schenk, who has been named Associate Head Coach for both the men's and women's tennis teams. A Thomas More alumnus and former standout player, Schenk brings a deep understanding of the program and a passion for developing student-athletes.
The University is excited to welcome Barone back into the dual role and looks forward to the continued development of both tennis programs under his leadership. With the addition of Schenk, the Saints tennis teams are well-positioned for a successful future.
