(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced their 2023-2024 wrestling All-Conference honors this afternoon and the Saints senior
Daulton Mayer (Mentor, KY / Walton-Verona) earned G-MAC First Team All-Conference honors for the 285 lb weight class. Mayer won the first Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship in school history with his first place finish at the conference championships.
Daulton earned All-Conference honors a year ago when the Saints competed in the Mid-South Conference at the NAIA level. There he was also Mid-South Conference Wrestler of the Year.
Throughout the season, Mayer earned G-MAC Wrestler of the Week twice and earned national rankings throughout the season according to "the open mat". Mayer also set the Thomas More program record for wins and falls during his career.
Mayer and the Saints wrapped up their season at the MCWA National Championships. The Saints will be back on the mat next November for the 2024-25 season.
