Men's Tennis Closes Out Season to Bethel in MSC Opening Round

(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.)-Thomas More University's men's tennis team fell to No. 7 seed Bethel (Tenn.) on Thursday, (April 20) in the Opening Round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament to end their season. The Saints finish their season with an overall record of 3-12 and 2-8 in conference.

• Senior Sergio San Pablo (Madrid, Spain/Valdefuentes) and first year Jackson Poulos (Edgewood, Ky./Covington Catholic) won 7-6 over Pedro Vecchi and Pedro Donadon.
•  First Year Sameul Mimbrero Lendinez and sophomore Eliot Burer were defeated by Marcos Neves and Renato Gravina 6-1.
• Graduate student Gavin Dail (North Hollywood, Calif./Van Nuys) and junior Juan Pablo Villagrana Francisco (Cordoba, Veracruz/TEC de Monterrey) defeated Juan Hernandez and Leonel Caspe 7-6.

• Sergio San Pablo fell to Pedro Vecchi 6-0 and 6-2.
• Jackson Poulos and Juan Hernandez went 7-5 unfinished.
• Sameul Mimbrero was defeated by Marcos Neves 6-0 and 6-2.
• Juan Pablo Villagrana and Pedro Donadon went 6-3, 5-1 unfinished.
• Gavin Dail fell to Leonel Caspe 6-2 and 6-1.
• Eliott Burer was defeated 6-1 and 6-1 by Arthur Trigno.

The Saints will return to the court next fall as they will compete in the Great Midwest Conference and transition to Division II.
