(JACKSON SPRINGS, N.C.) – The Thomas More University men's golf team finished in 8th place at the Laker Spring Shootout, hosted by Mercyhurst University at the Foxfire Resort & Golf Club over the past two days.
- The Saints shot 675 overall with a 327 on day one and 348 on day two.
- Sophomore Mason Butler (Florence, Ky./St. Henry) tied for 18th to lead the Saints, shooting 76 yesterday and 85 this afternoon for a total of 161.
- First-year Ben Epplen (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) tied for 22nd with a score of 162 (77, 85).
- First-year Connor Albrinck shot 85 and 83 for an overall score of 168.
- He tied for 32nd, as his 83 was the best score of his season.
- Junior Spencer Magee (Brooksville, Ky./Mason County) shot 186 to finish in 51st, with an 89 in round one tying his season best.
- Junior Bo Stoll (Park Hills, Ky./Covington Catholic) shot 188 (93, 95) to finish in 52nd.
The Saints are back in action on March 25th and 26th at the Alice Lloyd College Men's Spring Invite at Battlefield Golf Course in Richmond, Ky.
