(LEBANON, Tenn.) – The Thomas More University wrestling team dropped a pair of duals Friday night, against the No. 13 Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders, 38-6, and the No. 15 Cumberland University Phoenix, 45-3.
Lindsey Wilson defeats Thomas More, 38-6
- Thomas More got behind early as Shay Horton dropped a close 4-1 decision to No. 11 Conner Diamond at 125 before forfeits at 133 and 141 made the score 15-0.
- A fall at 149 pushed the score to 21-0.
- Wilder Wichman (Johnson Creek, Wis./Johnson Creek) righted the ship for the Saints at 157, earning a 9-3 decision over William George. Wilder had three takedowns during the match in his seventh win of the season.
- The following four weights went the Blue Raiders way before Daulton Mayer grabbed a well-wrestledd 7-3 decision victory over No. 13 Carlos Figueroa at 285. This was Mayer's 20th win of the season, as he shut the door on Figueroa in the third period after going into it up by just a single point at 3-2.

- Horton started it off at 125 with an 8-3 decision win for the Saints over Ellis Haney. This was Horton's 15th win of the year. He had three takedowns and a reversal in the match.
- The Saints then forfeited the next two weights, and a technical fall at 149 for the Phoenix brought the score to 17-3.
- Kailan Keith (Indianapolis, Ind/Ben Davis) fought hard at 157, but couldn't overcome No. 18 Eli Clemmons in a 9-6 decision.
- Thomas More would drop the remaining five weights, with a forfeit at 285.
