(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) – The Mid-South Conference announced their 2022-23 cheerleading Academic All Mid-South Conference honorees Thursday morning and Thomas More had nine athletes named. This was the second most in the conference behind Georgetown College's (Ky.) 11.
The nomination requirements are that you must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and be in your third term or fourth quarter.
Being honored for the second time in their careers were juniors
Lexie Kroth (Newport, Ky./Newport) and
Ashlyn Schank (Burlington, Ky/Conner).
The first-time honorees are
Erin Barker (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands),
Alivia Friend (Madison, Ind/Ryle),
Ian Martinez (Ludlow, Ky./Ludlow),
Taylor Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills), Tommy Ray (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills),
Tiffany Snider (Fayetteville, Ohio/Fayetteville Perry), and
Sarah Wilson (Kings Mills, Ohio). Ray has been honored in other sports, but never in cheerleading. First Year
Maria Hernandez (Ludlow, Ky./Ludlow) was named to the Champions of Character team for the first time.
