(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) – The Mid-South Conference announced their 2022-23 men's wrestling Academic All Mid-South Conference honorees Wednesday morning and Thomas More had four athletes named.
The nomination requirements are that you must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and be in your third term or fourth quarter.
A pair of juniors in
Daulton Mayer (Mentor. Ky./Walton Verona) and
Ian Daugherty (Burlington, Ky./Cooper) were honored for the Saints. Two sophomores in
Dru Baker (Findlay, Ohio/Liberty-Benton) and
Chase Emmert (Aurora, Ind./South Dearborn) were also named for Thomas More. Being named to the Champions of Character team for the first time in his career was sophomore
Jahmon Spiller (Saginaw, Ind./Brownsburg/Marian University's Ancilla College). This is the second time that Daugherty and Mayer have been named Academic All MSC and the first time for Baker and Emmert.
