NKU Defeats Women's Tennis in Season Opener

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.)-Thomas More University women's tennis team fell to NKU on Friday evening (January 27), 7-0. The Saints overall record falls to 0-1.

• First year Alexis Covington (Cincinnati, Ohio/Walnut Hills) and first year Heidi Kane (Gilford, Ind./East Central) fell to Majo Hernandez and Angie Rinaldi 3-6.
• Sophomore Dakota Schroeder (Tipp City, Ohio/Tippecaneo) and sophomore Noelia Martinez Garcia (Santander, Spain/IES Las Llamas) were defeated 1-6 to Laura Sola Grau and Slyvia Gray.
• Junior Cassie Saner (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) and senior Kimberly Sabga (Maraval, Trinidad and Tobago International School of Port of Spain) fell 1-6 to Sonia Tandelova and Ananya Kothakota.

• Dakota Schroeder fell 6-7 and 0-6 to Ashlee Fisk.
• Alexis Covington was defeated by Elizabeth Rozin 4-6 and 2-6.
• Noelia Martinez Garcia fell to Ananya Kothakota 0-6 and 2-6.
• Sylvia Gray defeated Heidi Kane 1-6 and 1-6.
• Cassie Saner as defeated 1-6 and 4-6 to Angie Rinaldi.
• Kimberly Sabga fell to Sonia Tandelova 1-6 and 1-6.

The Saints return to actio on February 3 against RV Oakland City at 12:00 pm ET at Five Seasons.
