Men's Tennis Take the Opening Round of the MSC Tournament 4-0 Over Bethel

(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.)-Thomas More University men's tennis team defeated Bethel on Thursday morning (April 21) by the score 4-0. The Saints overall record improves to 10-10.

• First year Alonso DePrada (Madrid, Spain) and Fernando Martin Paz (Brunete, Madrid / Alcala) won with the score of 4-3.
• Sophomore Anderson McDowell (Alexandria, Ky. / Campbell County) and first year Nehmia Molla defeated their opponents 6-1.
• Sophomore Juan Pablo Villagrana Francisco (Cordoba, Veracruz / TEC de Monterrey) and first year Payson Scott (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) won 6-4.

• Anderson McDowell won with the scores of 6-4 and 6-2.
• Fernando Martin Paz won 6-3 and 6-6.
• Alonso DePrada defeated his opponent 6-1, 5-7, and 3-1.
• Junior Sergio San Pablo (Madrid, Spain/Valdefuentes) won with the scores 7-6 tiebreaker 6 and 4-2.
• Nehmia Molla won 7-6 tiebreaker of 5 and 6-4.
• Payson Scott won with the scores of 6-2 and 7-5.

The Saints return to the court tomorrow (April 22) to take on Lindsey Wilson in the Quarterfinals of the MSC Tournament at 11:30 am ET in Bowling Green, Ky.
