Women's Tennis Falls to No. 16 Lindsey Wilson in Mid-South Quarterfinals

(OWENSBORO, Ky.) – The seventh-seeded Thomas More University women's tennis team fell, 4-0, to 16th-ranked and second-seeded Lindsey Wilson College today (Friday, April 16, 2021) in the quarterfinal round of the Mid-South Conference Championship at Centre Court in Owensboro, Kentucky.

  • No. 1 pair of sophomore Kimberly Sabga (Marval, Trinidad and Tobago/International School of Port of Spain) and senior Matison Perry (Union, Ky./Ryle) fell 6-0.
  • First-years Aman Dail (North Hollywood, Calif./Walton-Verona (Ky.)) and Sydney Johnson (Independence, Ky./St. Henry District) fell 6-0 at No. 2.
  • First-years Madi Carle (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) and Cassie Saner (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) trailed 5-0 in an unfinished match at No. 3.

  • Sabga fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1.
  • Perry fell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2.
  • Dail fell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4.
  • Saner trailed 6-0, 2-0 at No. 3 in an unfinished match.
  • Senior Jana Riffe (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands) trailed 6-2, 1-1 in an unfinished match at No. 5.
  • Johnson trailed 6-2, 2-0 in an unfinished match at No. 6.

  • This was the last match of the season for the Saints as they finished the year 5-11 overall and 4-6 in the Mid-South.
