(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More University men's tennis team swept Shawnee State, 7-0, today (Sunday, April 11, 2021) in a Mid-South Conference match that was moved indoors at the Five Seasons Sports Club in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
- Junior Gavin Dail (North Hollywood, Calif./Van Nuys) posted a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 1.
- First-year Fernando Martin Paz (Brunete, Madrid/Alcala) was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at No. 2.
- Sophomore Sergio San Pablo (Madrid, Spain/Valdefuentes) won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3.
- First-year Juan Villagrana Francisco (Cordoba, Veracruz/TEC de Monterrey) had a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4.
- Senior Jared Haught (Edgewood, Ky./Covington Catholic) won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5.
- Senior Kendal Johnson (Fort Thomas, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at No. 6.
- No. 1 pair of Martin Paz and San Pablo won, 6-3.
- Villagrana Francisco and Haught were 6-1 winners at No. 2.
- No. 3 tandem of Dail and senior Brandon Kwok (Sugar Land, Texas/Stephen F. Austin) won, 6-1
- The Saints return to action tomorrow (Monday, April 12) when they travel to Columbia, Kentucky to take on ninth-ranked Lindsey Wilson College at 1 p.m. Central/2 p.m. Eastern.
