Thomas More Defeats Georgetown, 5-2, for Mid-South Road Win

(GEORGETOWN, Ky.) – The Thomas More University men's tennis team picked up a Mid-South Conference road win today (Tuesday, March 30, 2021) as it defeated Georgetown College, 5-2, at Lackey Tennis Courts in Georgetown, Kentucky.

• No. 1 pair of sophomore Sergio San Pablo (Madrid, Spain/Valdefuentes) and first-year Fernando Martin Paz (Brunete, Madrid/Alcala) won 6-4.
• No. 2 tandem of senior Jared Haught (Edgewood, Ky./Covington Catholic) and first-year Juan Villagrana Francisco (Cordoba, Veracruz/TEC de Monterrery) won 6-3.
• Senior Brandon Kwok (Sugar Land, Texas/Stephen F. Austin) and junior Gavin Dail (North Hollywood, Calif./Van Nuys) won 6-4 at No. 3.

• Dail fell 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 at No. 1.
• Martin Paz won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2.
• At No. 3, San Pablo fell 7-5, 6-3.
• Haught was a 6-0, 6-4 winner at No. 4.
• Villagrana Francisco won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5.
• First-year Casey Vicars (Burlington, Ky./Holy Cross) won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1.

• Thomas More returns to the courts on Friday (April 2) when it hosts Freed-Hardeman University at 4 p.m. at Five Seasons Sports Club in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
