Saints Drop Close Match to Asbury, 4-3

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More University women's tennis team fell, 4-3, to Asbury University on Saturday evening (February 27, 2021) in a non-conference match played indoors at the Five Seasons Sports Club in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

  • Thomas More earned the doubles point as it won two of the three matches.
  • The pair of sophomore Kimberley Sabga (Marval, Trinidad and Tobago/International School of Port of Spain) and senior Matison Perry (Union, Ky./Ryle) won 6-4 at No. 1.
  • No. 2 tandem of first-years Raman Dail (North Hollywood, Calif./Walton-Verona) and Cassie Saner (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) won 7-6.
  • First-years Aman Dail (North Hollywood, Calif./Walton-Verona) and Sydney Johnson (Independence, Ky./St. Henry District) fell 6-4 at No. 3.

  • Sabga won 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 at No. 1.
  • Perry fell 6-4, 6-0 at No. 2.
  • At No. 3, Saner fell 6-0, 6-2.
  • Raman Dail won 4-6, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4.
  • Aman Dail fell 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5.
  • Johnson fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.

  • The Saints return to action on March 12 when they travel to Campbellsville, Kentucky to play Campbellsville University in a 2 p.m. Mid-South Conference match.
