(HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.) – The Thomas More University women's tennis team defeated Albany State University, 6-1, today (Thursday, March 12, 2020) in a match played on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
- The Saints improve to 4-6 on the season.
- Senior Brooke Warden (Edgewood, Ky./Dixie Heights) was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 1 singles.
- First-year Kimberly Sabga (Maraual Trinidad and Tobago/International School of Port of Spain) won 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (11-9).
- Sophomore Kayla Snyder (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) won at No. 3 singles 6-4, 6-3.
- Sophomore Alyssa Dowdell (Vine Grove, Ky./North Hardin) posted a 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-3) win at No. 5 singles.
- At No. 6 singles senior Lacey Pohlman (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands) won 6-1, 6-1.
- No. 1 tandem of Warden and Sabga won 6-3.
- No. 3 doubles team of junior Jana Riffe (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands) and junior Matison Perry (Union, Ky./Ryle) won 6-3.
- Thomas More will close out its trip to Hilton Head Island tomorrow with a match against the University of Mount Union at 1 p.m. at Hilton Head Island High School.
