(GRANVILLE, Ohio) – The Thomas More University men's and women's indoor track & field teams each finished fifth in a field of 10 teams at the Bob Shannon Invitational hosted by Denison University in Granville, Ohio today (Saturday, February 8, 2020).
- Sophomore Milly McNulty (Mason, Ohio/Mason) won the 400-meter run with a time of 1:02.07.
- First-year Annabel Clayton (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) set a new school record in the 1-mile run, where she was fifth with a time of 5:31.61.
- In the long jump, first-year Annah Stanley (Troy, Ohio/Troy) finished second with a jump of 5.05 meters and first-year Taylor Messmore (Bright, Ind./East Central) finished fourth at 4.90 meters.
- Sophomore Corrina Watts (Cleveland, Ohio/Boone County (Ky.)) was second in the triple jump with a mark of 9.84 meters.
- First-year BrookeAnn Cornelius (Harrison, Ohio/Harrison) was sixth with a distance of 11.22 meters.
- In the 60-meter, Messmore placed sixth with a time of 8.39 and Stanley was seventh at 8.42.
- First-year Anja Arlinghaus (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) placed 10th in the 800-meter with a time of 2:37.67.
- In the 200-meter, Stanley finished fourth with a time of 28.46 and McNulty was sixth at 28.49.
- The 4x200 meter relay team of Messmore, McNulty, first-year Grace Thamann (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley), and Stanley placed third with a time of 1:51.66.
- Senior Jacob Steinmetz (St. Leon, Ind./East Central) won the weight throw with a toss of 16.55 meters, and Antoine Perry (Lavonia, Ga./Franklin County) was fourth at 13.29 meters.
- Senior Zack Osburg (Woodlawn, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) was fifth in the high jump with a jump of 1.75 meters.
- Senior Ryan Everidge (Dayton, Ohio/Bellbrook) was fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.80 meters.
- In the triple jump, first-year Noah Howard (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood) was fifth with a mark of 12.10 meters and senior Osburg was ninth at 11.40 meters.
- In the shot put, first-year Duncan Hoffman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) was third with a throw of 13.94 meters, Perry was fourth at 12.98 meters, and Steinmetz was 10th at 12.16 meters.
- First-year Jordan Moore (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) was fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.08 seconds.
- In the 400 meter, senior Corey Young (Cincinnati, Ohio/Finneytown) was second with a time of 51.63 and first-year Jacob Moore (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) was eighth at 53.31.
- Senior TJ Moore (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) was eigth in the 200-meter with a time of 23.74 seconds.
- The 4x400 meter relay team of TJ Moore, Jordan Moore, Jacob Moore, and Young finished third with a time of 3:32.67.
- The 4x200 meter team of Seth Evers (Bellevue, Ky./Bellevue), Jordan Moore, Jacob Moore, and TJ Moore finished third with a time of 1:34.08.
- The Saints will return to action on Saturday (February 15, 2020) at the Indianapolis Team Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind.
