Saints Women in Seventh Place After First Day At Mid-South Championships

(DEFIANCE, Ohio) – The Thomas More University women's track and field team is in seventh place with 19 points after the first day of the Mid-South Conference Championships at the George Smart Athletic Center in Defiance, Ohio on Friday (February 21, 2020), where the distance medley team set a new school record.

• The distance medley team of Natalie Kleier (Covington, Ky./Notre Dame Academy), Milly McNulty (Mason, Ohio/Mason), Anja Arlinghaus (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton), and Annabel Clayton (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) finished second with a school-record time of 13:31.68.
• McNulty, a sophomore, placed 10th in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:02.47.
• Samantha Clark placed third in the pole vault with a mark of 2.72 meters.
• Sophomore Corrina Watts (Cleveland, Ohio/Boone County) finished 10th in the triple jump with a distance of 9.83 meters.
• In the shot put, first-year BrookeAnn Cornelius (Harrison, Ohio/Harrison) placed sixth with a toss of 11.49 meters and junior Allison Gribben (Edgewood, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) was just behind with a seventh-place mark of 11.30 meters.

• The Saints will return for the second and final day of the Mid-South Conference Championships tomorrow (Saturday, February 22).
