(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More University men's tennis team fell, 4-3, to Hanover College tonight (Saturday, January 25, 2020) in a match played indoors at the Five Seasons Sports Club in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. The Saints fall to 1-1 and the Panthers improve to 1-0.
- The Saints won the doubles point as they won all three matches.
- The No. 1 tandem of sophomore Gavin Dail (North Hollywood, Calif./Van Nuys) and junior Jared Haught (Edgewood, Ky./Covington Catholic) won 6-4.
- The No. 2 pair of sophomore Ethan Caruso (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) and junior Jeffrey Schenk (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands) won 6-2.
- Sophomore Jaret Fidler (Bakersfield, Calif./Centennial) and junior Brandon Kwok (Sugar Land, Texas/Stephen F. Austin) won 6-4 at No. 3.
- Dail was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 1.
- Caruso fell 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2.
- Schenk fell 7-6, 6-1 at No. 3
- Haught won 7-6, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) at No. 4.
- At No. 5, Fidler fell 6-3, 6-2.
- Huster fell 7-5, 6-3 at No. 6.
- Thomas More returns to the court next Saturday (February 1) when it hosts Shawnee State University in its Mid-South Conference opener at 5 p.m. at the Five Seasons Sports Club.
