Saints Edge Midway 30-22 for Road Dual Win

(MIDWAY, Ky.) — Four Thomas More University wrestlers recorded pins to lead the Saints to a 30-22 win in its Mid-South Conference opener at Midway University tonight (Tuesday, January 14, 2020).

• Junior Cody Roland (Taylor Mill, Ky./Scott) got the Saints on the scoreboard by winning an 8-2 decision at 149.
• Sophomore Wilder Wichman (Johnson Creek, Wis./Johnson Creek) followed with a pin in 4:30 at 157.
• Senior Andrew Taylor (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) won an 11-5 decision at 174.
• At 184, senior Avery Jones (Amelia, Ohio/Glen Este) earned a pin in 4:51.
• Senior James Caniglia (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) pinned his opponent in 1:22 at 197.
• At 285 Joseph Wahl (Batavia, Ohio/West Clermont) recorded a pin in 4:09.

• Thomas More will participate in the Missouri Valley Invitational this Friday and Saturday (January 17-18) in Marshall, Mo.
