Thomas More Drops a Pair at Ohio Wesleyan Tri-Match

(DELAWARE, Ohio) – The Thomas More University men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches on Saturday (March 2, 2019) in a tri-match held inside the Gordon Fieldhouse in Delaware, Ohio.  The Saints fall to 4-8 on the season.

EARLHAM MATCH

• The Saints fell to Earlham College, 6-3, in the opening match of the day.
• First-year Ethan Caruso (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) won his third singles match 7-6, 6-2.
• First-year Jaret Fidler (Bakersfield, Calif./Centennial) won 7-5, 6-7, 1-0 (10-6) at fifth singles.
• Sophomore Alex Traylor (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands) was a 6-4, 7-6 winner at sixth singles.

OHIO WESLEYAN MATCH

• Thomas More fell to host Ohio Wesleyan University, 7-2, in the second match of the day.
• The No. 3 doubles pair of senior Derrick Kwok (Sugar Land, Texas/Stephen F. Austin) and sophomore Brandon Kwok (Sugar Land, Texas/Stephen F. Austin) won 8-3.
• Fidler was a 6-4, 6-2 winner at fifth singles.

• The Saints return to action March 11-15 when they compete in the Hilton Head Spring Matches on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
