Thomas More Post 3-1 Record at NAIA Challenge Duals With Two Wins Over Ranked Teams

(COLUMBIA, Ky.) – The Thomas More University wrestling team went 3-1 today (Saturday, November 16, 2019) at the NAIA Challenge Duals hosted by Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky.

• Thomas More defeated Bluefield (W.Va.) College, 43-12.
• The Saints fell, 28-18, to Jamestown (N.D.) University, who were receive votes in the national poll.
• Thomas More defeated receive votes West Virginia Technology, 46-9.
• Thomas More defeated 19^th-ranked Williams Baptist (Ark.) University, 33-19 in its last match of the day.

• Senior Avery Jones (Amelia, Ohio/Glen Este) went 5-0 at 184 with three pins.
• Senior James Caniglia (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) posted a 5-0 mark at 197.
• Junior Andrew Taylor (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) went 4-0 at 174.
• First-year Shay Horton (Verona, Ky./Ryle) went 2-0 at 125.
• First-year Brendan Pye also went 2-0 at 125.

• The Saints return to action on November 24 when they compete at the King Open in Bristol, Tennessee.
