OFFICIAL ATHLETICS SITE OF THE THOMAS MORE SAINTS

Saints Spear Bison, 9-0

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College women's tennis team shutout Bethany College, 9-0, today (Sunday, October 15, 2017) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match played indoors at the Five Seasons Sports Club in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

With the win, the Saints improve to 10-3 overall and 6-2 in the PAC.  With the loss, the Bison fall to 4-11 overall and 2-6 in the PAC.

Thomas More went 3-0 in doubles play against the Bison.  The No. 1 tandem of sophomore Brooke Warden (Edgewood, Ky./Dixie Heights) and first-year Hannah Lowman (Vine Grove, Ky./North Hardin) won 8-1, the No. 2 pair of juniors Nicole Capodagli (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) and Sarah Fellinger (North Bend, Ohio/Taylor) won 8-0 and the No. 3 team of sophomore Lacey Pohlman (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands) and first-year Matison Perry (Union, Ky./Ryle) won 8-2.

The Saints dominated in singles play to cruise to the 9-0 shutout victory.  Warden won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1, Lowman won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2, Capodagli won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3, Pohlman won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4, Perry won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 and Fellinger won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6.

The Saints return to action on October 20 and 21 when they travel to Erie, Pennsylvania for the PAC Championship held at the Pennbriar Racquet Club.  The championship begins at 8:30 a.m. both days in Erie.
