(PARK HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College men's tennis team fell, 5-4, to Berea College today (Sunday, April 24, 2016) in its regular season finale at the Covington Catholic Courts in Park Hills, Kentucky.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 2-11 and with the win, Berea improves to 2-12.
Berea led 2-1 after doubles play as the Saints' No. 3 team of junior Hannes Snorrason (Reykjavik, Iceland/Bishop Moore (Fla.)) and junior Brandon Lorentz (Cincinnati, Ohio/Summit Country Day) won 8-3.
Thomas More split the singles' matches as senior Sergio Pascual (Carrollton, Ky./Carroll County) won 4-6,7-5, 1-0 (6) at No. 2, senior Jalen Clark (Frankfort, Ky./Western Hills) won 7-6 (5), 6-3 and at No. 6 Avery Wood won 6-0, 6-2.
The Saints return to action on April 29 and 30 when they compete at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship at the Pennbriar Racquet Club in Erie, Pennsylvania.
