(HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.) – The Thomas More College women's tennis team fell, 8-1, to Albion College today (Friday, March 11, 2016) in its final spring break match at the Evian Courts in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
With the loss, the Saints end the season at 11-7. With the win, Albion improve to 7-1.
In doubles play, junior Anna Hetzer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) and freshman Nicole Capodagli (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) battled at No. 2 before falling 8-6 and the No. 3 tandem of freshmen Lydia Olsen (Batesville, Ind./Batesville) and Jeni Hall (Lebanon, Ky./Marion County) battled before falling 9-7.
In singles action, freshman Sarah Fellinger (North Bend, Ohio/Taylor) earned the Saints' lone point as she won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6. Capodagli forced a tie breaker before falling 6-3, 2-6, 10-0.
