(HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College women's tennis team fell, 7-0, to Division I member Northern Kentucky University tonight (Wednesday, September 16, 2015) in a non-conference match at the Joyce E. Yeager Tennis Complex in Highland Heights, Kentucky.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 2-4 and with the win the Norse improve to 1-0.
In singles play, junior Anna Hetzer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) battle before falling 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3. In doubles, the No. 1 tandem of sophomore Alyssa DeFiglio (West Harrison, Ohio/East Central) and freshman Maryann Meadows (Cold Springs, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) fell, 6-2.
Thomas More returns to action on Saturday (September 19) when it hosts Washington & Jefferson College at 1 p.m. at the Covington Catholic Courts in Park Hills, Kentucky.
