(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College men's tennis team fell, 7-0, to NCAA Division I foe Northern Kentucky University tonight (Wednesday, February 11, 2015) in an indoor match at the Five Seasons Sports Club in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
With the loss, the Saints are 0-1 and with the win, the Norse improve to 1-2.
In doubles action, the No. 2 tandem of junior Sergio Pascual (Carrollton, Ky./Carroll County) and freshman Will Neltner (Villa Hills, Ky./Covington Catholic) battled before falling 6-1.
At third singles, sophomore Austin Justice (Mason, Ohio/Mason) took his NKU opponent deep before falling 6-4, 6-1. Sophomore Jared Justice (Mason, Ohio/Mason), Neltner and freshman Sam Lewis (Stawell, England/Crispin School) fell at second, fourth and fifth singles respectively by the score of 6-1, 6-0.
The Saints return to action on February 28 when they travel to Defiance, Ohio to play Muskingum University at 12 p.m. and Defiance College at 4 p.m.
