(PARK HILLS, Ky.) – The Thomas More College women's tennis team fell, 7-2, to Berea College today (Saturday, September 27, 2014) in a non-conference match at the Notre Dame Academy Courts in Park Hills, Kentucky.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 2-6 and with the win, Berea improves to 1-1.
Freshman Julie Estridge (Hamilton, Ohio/Badin) won at No. 4 singles by the scores of 5-7, 6-3, 11-9 and senior Petina Strickley (Bellevue, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) won 6-4, 7-5 at No. 6 singles. Sophomore Anna Hetzer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) forced a third set at No. 2 singles, but fell 7-5, 1-6, 10-1.
Thomas More returns to action next Saturday (October 4) as it hosts Geneva College at 12 p.m. at the Notre Dame Academy Courts.
