(HANOVER, Ind.) - The Thomas More College women's tennis team fell, 8-1, to tradtional rival Hanover College today (Monday, September 16, 2013) in a non-conference match at the Zeddies Tennis Center in Hanover, Indiana.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 5-3 and with the win, the Panthers improve to 2-1.
Freshman Jenny Block (Sellersburg, Ind./Silver Creek) earned the Saints' lone point as she won 6-3, 2-6, 10-7 at No. 3 singles.
In other singles action, senior Maria Pascual (Carrollton, Ky./Christian Academy of Carrollton) battled at No. 1 before falling 6-1, 6-4 and freshman Anna Hetzer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) battled before falling 6-2, 6-3.
The Saints return to action on Saturday (September 21) when they travel to Latrobe, Pennsylvania to play hos Saint Vincent College at 9:30 a.m. and Geneva College at 12:30 p.m.
