(WILMINGTON, Ohio) - The Thomas More College men's tennis team fell, 7-2, to both Bethany College and Wilmington College today (Thursday, March 28, 2013) in a tri-match at the Wilmington Tennis Complex in Wilmington, Ohio.
With the two losses, the Saints fall to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC).
In the match against Bethany, the Saints earned their two points at No. 1 and No. 2 singles as sophomore Eric Thompson (Edgewood, Ky./Dixie Heights) won 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1 and freshman Sergio Pascual (Carrollton, Ky./Carroll County) won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2.
In the match against Wilmington, sophomore Michael Stephens (Fort Thomas, Ky./Covington Latin) won 6-2, 7-6 at No. 6 singles and the No. 3 tandem of Stephens and sophomore Andrew Mason (Independence, Ky./Simon Kenton) won 8-5.
The Saints return to action on April 4 when they travel to Latrobe, Pennsylvania to play Saint Vincent College at 9 p.m.
