(BETHANY, W.Va.) - The Thomas More College men's tennis team fell, 6-3, to Bethany College today (Friday, April 13, 2012) in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at the Ewing Tennis Center in Bethany, West Virginia.
With the loss, the Saints fall to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in the PAC. With the win, the Bison improve to 5-4 overall and 2-3 in the PAC.
Bethany led 2-1 after doubles action as the Saints No. 1 tandem of senior Andrew Hetzer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) and freshman Eric Thompson (Edgewood, Ky./Dixie Heights) earned a point with an 8-3 win.
Hetzer and Thompson earned the Saints' two points in singles play as Hetzer won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 and Thompson won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2.
Thomas More returns to action tomorrow as it plays two PAC opponents in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. The Saints will play host Waynesburg University at 10 a.m., followed by a 12:30 p.m. match with Washington & Jefferson College.
