(CRESTVEIW HILLS, Ky.) - Two Saints were named ACAA Players of the Week this week after their standout performances last week. First-year Emily Mohs (Cincinnati, Ohio / Seton) was named women's volleyball Player of the Week and junior Natalie Kleier (Ft. Wright, Ky. / Notre Dame Academy) was named women's cross country Player of the Week. This is both Mohs' and Kleier's second time being honored by the ACAA this season.
Mohs, an outside hitter/right side, helped lead the seventh-ranked Saints to a 4-1 record last week, including a 3-2 upset win over top-ranked and previous unbeaten Calvin. She hit .330 with a team leading 86 kills (4.78 kps). Mohs tallied 11 digs and eight total blocks on the defensive side of the net. She set a new personal collegiate game-high record with 36 kills in the match against No. 1 Calvin.
Kleier completed the 5K Evansville Invitational this weekend with a time of 20:06. Individually she was 25th and led the Saints to a second-place finish among non-Division I teams.
Women's volleyball is back on the court this Friday, Oct. 19 as they host Transylvania at 7 p.m. in the Connor Convocation Center.
Women's cross country competes next on Nov. 10 at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional in Center Valley, Pa.
