(DANVILLE, Ky.) – The Thomas More women's soccer team fell, 5-0, to 17th-ranked Centre College tonight (Wednesday, September 19, 2018) at Amend Field in Danville, Kentucky.

  • Centre took a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute when Alana Hughes scored off a Keeghan Francis assist.
  • Hughes scored her second goal of the match and the Colonels increased the lead to 2-0 in the 63rd minute.
  • The Colonels extended the lead to 3-0 in the 66th minute when Rachael Boule scored unassisted.
  • Elizabeth Nelson scored in the 80th minute to give Centre a 4-0 lead.
  • Centre closed out the scoring in the 81st minute when Hannah Bandura scored off a cross from Gracie Fitzgerald to make the score 5-0.

  • Thomas More falls to 1-7.
  • Centre improves to 7-0.
  • Junior goalkeeper Maddy Kim (California, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) played 69:12 in goal and recorded 10 saves.
  • First-year goalkeeper Taylor Peterson (Wilder, Ky./Campbell County) played the final 20:48 and had one save.

  • Thomas More returns to action on Saturday (September 22) when it travels to Ada, Ohio to play Ohio Northern University at 1 p.m.
